At the University of Nyíregyháza I teach economics in both English and Hungarian; my favourites include classical micro- and macroeconomics as well as behavioural economics. I passionately research and apply the latest AI technologies in teaching and assessment, and I build AI-based economics tutors for students.
As an entrepreneur I run my own IT-training company, where I see my most important task as making the most of the opportunities AI offers. I have built a management information system, numerous websites, webshops and automations — and I strive to pass on the experience I have gained in this field to my fellow SME leaders.
For students
AI tools for students
Instead of ChatGPT, use AI tools that genuinely help you learn and prepare for exams.
Microeconomics Patronus
An AI tutor that explains the connections of microeconomics based on the verified materials I use myself, and also solves and works through calculation exercises. It cannot draw graphs, but otherwise it has been flawless so far. Dozens of students have already prepared for their exams with it successfully. Use it — good luck to you too!
My latest tool, built specifically for solving calculation exercises, which also draws graphs alongside the solutions. Perfect when used well — but beware: it sometimes gets word problems wrong, so critical thinking is required. The page also gives you practical tips on how to use it properly.
My students find macroeconomics calculation exercises even harder than microeconomics. I built this AI tutor specifically for solving calculations and illustrating them with graphs as well — but before using it, read my tips on the page here too, and think critically!

I am convinced that your company could grow a great deal too if you put AI to work for your operations. I have hands-on experience and I am glad to help. Book a free, 30-minute online conversation with no obligation. We will identify your problems, the possible solutions and the breakthrough points — and, if you wish, I am happy to take part in introducing AI support at your company as well.
I discovered the world of cigars 20 years ago. When I want to focus, it is silence and cigar smoke that relax and inspire me. In company, it is almost unthinkable for me not to light a cigar fitting the occasion to accompany the conversation. Five years ago I founded the Bikavér Cigar Club in Eger, which has offered unforgettable shared smokes for us all ever since.
Being a founding organiser of the Millennium Cigar Club is an even more special honour. The capital’s community of cigar lovers turns Tuesday evenings into a true celebration. After the talks, the conversations and the civilised debates, I always leave far richer than I arrived.
Chess
Chess has been my passion since childhood; I currently play in the second division (NB2).
Chess has been my passion since childhood; I currently play in the second division (NB2). I am very proud that the Egri Bolyky Bástya Chess Club — which I founded and initially financed — has both an NB2 and a county first-division team, and provides chess education for more than 300 kindergarten and school children in Eger. If you can, support us too with 1% of your tax!
AdriaSail
Do you often feel you need to break away from everyday life?
Do you often feel you need to break away from everyday life? That you need something that switches you off and gives an experience nothing else can? This is why I sail. Ten years ago, when I first stepped aboard — back then as a passenger — the experience cast a spell on me. Since then I earned my skipper’s licence, led more than 30 tours on one or several yachts, and finally, with my fellow skippers, founded Adria Sail — to give everyone the kind of sailing experience we once longed for ourselves.
Cigar & Sail
Bringing together two passions — cigars and sailing.
Cigar & Sail brings together two passions — a voyage I organise especially for cigar lovers, so they can discover the freedom and joy of sailing.
History
What I am proud of
Infobál — the celebration of IT
I founded the InfoBál in 2015 and was its lead organiser from 2017 to 2019.
I founded the InfoBál in 2015 and was its lead organiser between 2017 and 2019 — a true celebration of the IT sector. At every edition numerous professional awards were presented, and we supported good causes through a charity auction.
Startup companies and club
In 2013, co-founder and general manager of the Liber8 Technology startup.
In 2013 I was co-founder and general manager of the Liber8 Technology startup, with which we were among Hungary’s five most promising startups. I led the project up to the prototype stage and the end of our crowdfunding campaign, developing the world’s first wearable smart bracelet — able to communicate with a mobile phone without buttons, connectors or a power source, and to adapt its surface to the wearer’s outfit. Our product became known as Tago Arc.
In 2014, after the crowdfunding campaign, I left the project and founded my first own company, Crowdfunder Ltd, which back then helped Hungarian startups run community-funded campaigns similar to Liber8’s success. Five of our seven projects were also financially successful.
Around that time I organised the Startup Success Club in Budapest, where startuppers could meet leaders of Prezi, LogMeIn and Ustream, among others.
BizLounge
A business club where entrepreneurs from Eger met remarkable guests.
At the BizLounge business club’s events, entrepreneurs from Eger could meet guests such as György Beck, Tamás Leisztinger, Kevin Diller, Gábor Széles, William Benkő, Bertalan Farkas and Gábor Kállai. We hosted a Harley showcase, a fashion show, and a charity auction with Áron Méder.
As the club’s originator and organiser — and, from 2019, owing to my role as a city councillor in Eger, only as a behind-the-scenes supporter — I took part in its life for nearly a decade, serving Eger’s entrepreneurs who were open to meeting and to valuable ideas.
Public affairs and civic issues
I served as an elected representative for three terms, with the voters’ trust.
Public life has interested me all my life, and it is a great honour that, with the voters’ trust, I could serve as an elected representative for three terms in my home region. From 2006 to 2010 in Hatvan and in opposition, later as a governing-party member between 2010 and 2014 in the Heves County Assembly, and from 2019 to 2022 in Eger.
During this time I worked as chief of staff at the State Secretariat for Infocommunications, took part as a communications expert in numerous election campaigns at home and across the border, and led the development of IT support for get-out-the-vote campaigns. I was the first municipal representative in Hungary to broadcast assembly sessions live on a blog (2008).
Between 2022 and 2024 I sat in the Eger assembly as an independent, because I disagreed with my former party’s politics and intentions. I am most proud of this period: with our civic organisation, the Egerért Most Association, we managed to organise ourselves despite the constant attacks and obstruction of every Hungarian party. We wrote a programme, founded a youth club, organised family events and a movement against the wind, and in the end scored above 5% in the county-seat election. This result ultimately did not earn a seat, because the electoral system and the districts had been redrawn in favour of the large parties.
I have ended my active public role, but my interest has remained. On my Substack channel I write articles about news of my home country from the perspective of a ‘former insider’, illuminating the connections and the background of things.
